Fly-fishing and hunting have played a big part in my life, I feel very fortunate that I was introduced to fly fishing and sporting pursuits at a very young age. The combined attributes of these particular outdoor pursuits have given me an overwhelming appreciation and respect for the greater outdoors.

It is now with years of guiding, fishing and hunting in these vast back country valley's and river systems of the South Island that my knowledge of some of New Zealand's best fly fishing locations has developed. fly fishing guides in new zealand There are so many outstanding fly fishing locations in the South Island, from the stunning Nelson lakes districts down to the famous back country rivers of Canterbury and onto Southland's spectacular Fiordland National Park just to name a few and they all offer some of finest if not the best fly fishing rivers in the world.

It is a given that a professional fly-fishing guide must know his guiding backyard and know it extensively, it also has to be recognized that to fish the best of New Zealand's fly fishing rivers would require a visit to a selection of districts throughout New Zealand, most professional guides would agree every district offers something very unique and whether that comes in the form of its stunning scenic surrounds, trout numbers or over sized trophy trout, for the guide to have this knowledge on these world class fisheries and beyond of his home guiding waters can be of huge benefit for his client. To piece together, visit and fish these top fishing rivers, streams spring creeks and high country tarns with New Zealand's best fly fishing guides will insure the ultimate fly fishing experience of a lifetime.
